Petit Verdot’s home is in France, is the least known of the Bordeaux varieties which traditionally makes up around 5% of the final blended wines. Petit Verdot is a late maturing grape. Harvested purely on flavour, Azamors 100% Peter Verdot grapes are carefully hand selected and picked before being transported to the winery. Vinified separately in stainless steel tanks of 10 tons for 4 days, starting slowly with a temperature around 21ºC and rising slowly until it reaches 24ºC. Petit Verdot was aged for 12 months in our cellar, 35% in new French oak barrels and 2 years old. The Wine was bottled in August 2019.
